Riley was upset about something here, so he sat down to pout and it made the best picture!

I can't remember what this technique is called but as you press the button down you zoom your lens in and it looks something like this. I'd like to try this with a lot of nicer flowers, dandelions aren't the most beautiful subject but they work...for now...

Trying to get the glow of the sun behind the tree...

Trying out the lighting by a window...

***Experimenting with "panning". You use a slow shutter speed and move along with your subject...turns out really cool when it works!

So those are the first in my "portfolio". I'd love to hear what you think! Thanks for looking...
I say go for the photography!!! You've always loved it - now learn it, study it, experiment with it, grow in it! TOTALLY support this idea!!! I think the baking thing is cool as well, but this one really stuck out in my mind as something you'd love. I should give you a website for my sister-in-law. She does photograpy for weddings/engagements, etc. I'll check it out for you.
ReplyDeleteI think what you are doing is a GREAT idea! You already take awesome pictures of your boys and if you study up and try new techniques you can only get better. Maybe I could convince Steven and we could be your subjects this summer when you come out. We haven't taken nice photos of us since we were married, which will be 3 years this summer. Sign us up!
ReplyDeleteUm...you are totally awesome already! I agree this is a great idea, just keep at it & learn whatever you can.
ReplyDeleteIf you need a cute little girl to take pictures of Izzie is always available!! :-)
LOVE the pouting picture!
